The Scoping Report offers an easy way to visualize projects along specific routes within the city. Filters can be applied to narrow down the data, simplifying the process of accessing targeted information about projects. There is a Summary view and a Details view.
BEFORE YOU BEGIN: Make sure you expanded the Planning group and then selected the Scoping Report.
A. Show Summary View
The table beneath the illustration explains the numbered callouts in the Summary View of the Scoping report. NOTE: The illustration shows the report AFTER a single street was selected.

Street Name
|
|
IMPORTANT! You must first select a street from the Street Name drop-down list before the Scoping Report will populate; otherwise, it remains empty.
•The Street Name drop-down list has a scroll bar to allow you to scroll up and down to find a street. You can also type some of the letters in the street name to locate it in the drop-down list and then select it.
•Once you select the street, you can view that street’s Scoping report.

Show Details
|

Click the Show Details button to switch from the Summary View to the Details View.

Date Filters
|
|
The Work Order Date, Project Start Date, and 311 Request Date sliders filter work orders, projects, and 311 requests accordingly.

View Selected Assets on Map
|
|
IMPORTANT! This icon only works if you are in the Details View.
|

Inventory Counts by Asset Type / Condition
|
|
This chart shows the inventory counts of assets on the selected street, grouped by the asset condition. NOTE: The Inventory Counts section will only populate if the selected street contains either pavement, ADA curb ramps, bridges, sidewalks, or traffic signalized intersections.

Projects by Category
|
|
This chart displays the projects on the selected street, grouped by their category.
|

Work Orders Charts
|
|
These charts display the number of completed work orders on the selected street, grouped by asset type and category.

311 Requests by Month / Year
|
|
This chart shows the 311 requests on the street selected within the date range specified by the 311 Request Date slider.

B. Show Details View
Once you click Show Details, you see a different screen. The table below the illustration explains the numbered callouts in the Details View of the Scoping report.

Street Name
|
|
A street must be selected for the report to display. You may select one street at a time to view that street's report.

Show Summary Button
|
|
Click the Show Summary button to switch to the Summary View.
|

Date Filters
|
|
These sliders allow you to filter by Work Order Date, Project Start Date, and 311 Request Date.

View Selected Assets on Map
|
|
Select one or more records (assets) from the Asset Detail table. NOTE: To select multiple records, hold down the Ctrl key while you left-click various records.
•Click the View Selected Assets on Map icon.
• Another tab opens showing a map with a pop-up dialog on top, indicating the number of features that will be displayed, based on the report specifications. NOTE: An error message appears if no visual data is available; you will not see a map.
•Close the dialog box to see the map. You may have to zoom in to see the selected features.NOTE: The map is limited to showing up to 10,000 of the selected records.

Asset Summary Table
|
|
This table displays the total count/mileage and replacement cost for each asset type on the selected street.
|

Work Orders Table
|
|
This table displays information about the work orders on the selected street within the date range specified by the Work Order Date slider.

311 Requests Table
|
|
This table displays information about the 311 requests on the selected street within the date range specified by the 311 Request Date slider.

Condition Map Filters
|
|
Lists all Condition Map filters that are currently in effect for the report.

Asset Detail Table
|
|
This table displays information about each individual asset on the selected street. NOTE: This table will populate only if the selected street contains either pavement, ADA curb ramps, bridges, sidewalks, or traffic signalized intersections.

This table displays information about the projects on the selected street within the date range specified by the Project Start Date slider.
