The Valuation Report offers valuable advantages for assessing asset valuation and replacement costs. This report simplifies asset tracking and management and aids in identifying trends, patterns, and outliers related to asset performance and costs.
BEFORE YOU BEGIN: Make sure you expanded the Assets group and then selected the Valuation Report.
The table beneath the illustration explains the numbered callouts in the Valuation Report.
Data Grouping
Group the Data by Columbus Community, Council District, Local/Non-Local, or choose to leave the data ungrouped. This grouping affects the display of the Replacement Cost by Asset Type chart and table. NOTE: When you change the Data Grouping, it may take a few seconds for the new information to load.
Total Replacement Cost
The total replacement cost displays the total cost to replace all assets included in the dashboard. This number changes as the dashboard is filtered.
Replacement Cost Chart
The Replacement Cost chart displays differently depending on the grouping selected in the Data Grouping widget. Different groupings are illustrated below.
Grouped by Columbus Community
Grouped by Council District
Grouped by Jurisdiction
Grouped by Local/Non-Local
•Click a bar (or a section of a bar if grouped) to filter the report by that type (or group/type combination). You can only select one bar (or section of a bar) at a time. Click any of the groups under Group on the right side of the chart to filter by that group.
•Right-click on the chart to get an option to Show as a table. This option allows you to see a full screen view of the chart with a corresponding table. Click Back to report in the upper left to return to the full report.
Replacement Cost by Asset Type Table
The Replacement Cost by Asset Type table shows individual replacement cost for different categories. The categories shows are dependent on the grouping selected in the Data Grouping widget.
Replacement Cost by Functional Class / Asset Type Table
The Replacement Cost by Functional Class / Asset Type table shows replacement costs by functional class within each asset type. This table does not change when data grouping is changed, but it is filtered by the replacement cost by asset type chart. To filter the report using this table, click any row, column, or cell in the table.
